Intermediate. Six sizes. Hearts and baby cables adorn this child's circularly knit gansey made with overlapped split welts and margin rib, underarm gussets, shoulder extensions, and neckline gussets. The gauge is 6 stitches and 8 rnds/inch in St st.

 

Featured Techniques: Knotted Cast-on, split overlapped welts, underarm gussets

Yarn: Guernsey yarn or other smooth sport weight

• Yarn: 4 (4, 5, 6, 8, 10) 50-g skeins of sport-weight yarn (184 yd per skein)

•  Needles: U.S. 2 and 4 (2.75- and 3.5-mm) dpn and 16-in. (40-cm) circular needles, or sizes needed to obtain gauge.
